The Sisters of Mercy are a great example and reminder of how we should try to live our lives to not only help ourselves but those around us. Someone doesn't have to go to the extreme and try to be a saint in order to be able to help like the Sisters of Mercy. It's the idea that even the smallest contribution helps to make a difference that allows anyone feel apart of it. Personally I am a volunteer at SIS. It stands for Stay in School and it is a program that helps high school students prepare for the future. It does a variety of things such as helping them with current classes, apply to college, and learn how to present themselves in to the professional job market. The way the program is set up is that there are students within six community centers that all meet up once a month and focus on the topic for that day that would help them in the future (ex: teamwork, legacy, creativity, networking).
